EPC
Energy Performance Certificate
Commercial EPCs
Property Owners and Landlords are required to make an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) available to prospective purchasers and tenants when they construct, refurbish, sell or lease a commercial building or risk fines and prosecution from Trading Standards. Commercial agents and solicitors will generally be the first in line to advise and provide this service to clients who may not be aware of the legislation. Only qualified and accredited energy assessors will be able to carry out energy assessments and produce EPCs.
All commercial buildings currently on the market will require an EPC by 4th January 2009 to continue marketing. All commercial properties coming onto the market after 4th January 2009 will require an EPC prior to marketing. No EPC? No Sale! No Let!
Earth UK offer fully qualified and accredited Energy Assessors who are capable of carrying out EPCs on all types of property.
What is involved?
Similar to a domestic EPC but in greater detail, we measure and calculate the energy
efficiency of a property by assessing the dimensions, heating, cooling, lighting and glazing together with the construction fabrics.
